Hey Tribe,
Welcome!
If you’re a male around the age of 40 or younger, chances are 99% you have watched porn at some point in your life.
And the chances are pretty high, the last time is within the last five days.
Scientists wanted to research the effects of Internet pornography, but they couldn’t find ANY male of the same age that hadn’t watched porn. So no control group for their study.
You might not want to admit it, but you watch porn.
But it’s great, right?
Unending novelty. Accessible at all times. Free sex expression. Learning new positions, and places to do it. People even help each other with their school essays in the comment section of Pornhub.
It’s the new age. Everything is good.
Years ago nobody squirted. Now, every girl can do it. Sexual progress!
So why on earth would you quit this great thing?
Porn is stopping you from achieving anything in any sector of your life.
“That’s bullshit. This whole email is bullshit! Fuck this guy.”
Denial is the number one weapon of any addict.
And such a reaction is a sign that I am right.
I’ve been there, my dear reader. I have watched porn every day in the past. Every. Single. Day. No exceptions.
And now, I am completely free (except the sex that society throws at you at all times, but that’s for another email). And I can tell you from the other side of the spectrum, that it’s worth it.
But how can this be?
Let me ask you a bunch of questions:
After you’ve done it, do you:
feel good or bad about yourself?
feel some kind of negative emotion, but you can’t put your finger on it?
feel tired? Low energy?
realize you wasted another hour again, although you had things to do?
feel embarrassed?
feel some form of aggression? Maybe even towards your girl?
If you are in a relationship, you might have experienced the Limp-Dick-Syndrome. Also known as Erectile Dysfunction. You know about all these positions and mind-blowing sex acts, but you can’t get it up? Fuck, man!
Or you’re constantly busy getting your girl to do weird stuff at weird places, instead of just enjoying the act?
Makes you feel empty inside?
Yes, that is because you physically altered your brain.
Evolution has not prepared you for this.
The number one goal for any living human, deep down, is survival. Survival of yourself, or survival of your genes, it’s basically the same.
How do you achieve this? Right, Sex!
Sex is THE most important evolutionary need in you.
There are others, which have a five star rating in your brain as well, like food, love, friendship, and novelty. These are called “natural reinforcers” inside the reward circuit. But Sex is definitely the most important one.
And it would make sense. If you imagine being one of your ancestors. Sex was pretty rare. You were busy hunting for days. No woman to sex up for the next 50 miles. No sexual imagery close. Which means, sex came in quite rarely. Your brain needed to make sure you actually go for it, once the opportunity arises (no pun intended).
And when you finally got your high (climax), the brain tried to remember everything that lead up to this, including the environment, to make sure you make it possible next time.
But what is there to make sure today?
Unending novelty. There is so much porn on the internet, if you started now, you couldn’t finish every single video in 100 lifetimes. And where do you do it? Alone. In your room. Without the physical touch, without the smells, without the bonding.
Porn only touches two of your senses, where actual sex touches all of them. But most importantly, it doesn’t secure your survival. It actually makes it worse.
Because women can unconsciously feel this shit from miles away. Mostly because of missing self-esteem and energy-levels. I’ll get to that in a second.
Physical changes in your brain.
Studies show that porn stimulation activates exactly the same circuits in your brain as meth, cocaine and heroin. Funnily enough, heroin addicts often claim that the shoot “feels like an orgasm”. So there is a connection in your brain, which lets you experience that.
There is this famous optical illusion. What do you see in this picture?

At first glance, you saw a couple. A naked woman, and a man behind her. A sexual image. But if you look closely, you might notice some dolphins. Actual, nine of them.
If you show this image to little kids, they will tell you about the dolphins. Because their brain hasn’t been sensitized to sexual imagery yet.
The same effect happens with internet porn, only dialed up to eleven.
Do you sometimes see a sexual image in a random scenery in the real world?
That’s a sign that your brain has been conditioned too heavily with sexual images. This happened to me all the time.

If you turn this image upside down, it might look like a woman’s butt with a black string. But no, it’s just a fucking lamp.
So there are physical changes in your brain happening through this constant consuming of porn. It literally alters your vision. This is especially bad, if you’re still developing your brain as a young male, which is typically when most young men are exposed to porn. I think I was about 14 years old.
The negative effects
This has some implications. First of all, this is now your sexual conditioning. You learn that this is how sex works. You just walk up to the half-naked lady, you’re rock hard, she’s wet af and then you romp for an hour, like the stud you are, and then you leave.
Until you have sex the first time, and realize, this has nothing to do with real sex.
You also learn, that this is what turns you on. But you are VERY wrong. My interests in sex turned around completely. The porn I watched was lots of public porn. On public places, even voyeurism and shit.
Once I stopped, and broke free, I only wanted to have sex in the bedroom, with my wife, alone. This is something between me and her. Nobody else needed. Was the weirdest feeling, to realize, you didn’t know yourself for 15 years.
And thirdly, since you rub one out, every day, you think you have a high sex-drive, and this is just a vent for it.
Bamboozled again, buddy!
After quitting, I learned that I don’t need sex every day. I actually can easily go a month without now. Which is good, because it drives your girl crazy, and SHE is suddenly the one initiating sex. Awesome, isn’t it?
What to gain from quitting?
First of all, can all of these negatives be reversed? Yes! Rejoice! The brain actually can turn back to normal. But it takes about 120 days of no porn to fully recover. Don’t be discouraged. You already notice GREAT benefits about a week to two weeks in. Which makes it easier to stay on board.
But what do you actually gain? I guess, the best thing would just be to tell you what quitting porn did for me. So here’s a list:
ENERGY! This is VERY noticeable. I am not making shit up. The energy-levels went skyrocketing after about a week.
I wrote a 70,000 word novel, started a webdesign company, writing these emails, the lot!
My sex life is the best it’s ever been, I am way more chill around my wife, resentment and aggression are gone
I learned that true, emotional sex isn’t even comparable to the craziest position on a plane with five people watching, as porn suggests. True sex is so much better. Even as a recovering porn addict.
It literally changed my vision. Not only is there a noticeable change in what you perceive, you feel clearer
Self-esteem on all-time highs. Mostly because I know I am not a loser spilling seed alone in the basement anymore
And an important one: The dick has functioned without issues ever since. So that embarrassing issue is gone.
These are only a few things that got WAY better. My sex drive is also way lower, which means I have more time for other stuff. And most importantly, I actually get shit done, because my dick doesn’t interfere everytime I sit at the computer.
You may now have noticed that you are addicted, and that your brain was changed because of it. And I hope you realized how bad it actually is.
I am not shaming you! It isn’t your fault. This society is just a porn culture. And low-energy citizens are easier to control.
So this isn’t your fault, but it is your responsibility to fix it!
Will Smith famously said “You cannot win the war against the world, if you can’t win the war against your own mind.”
You will need to fight yourself. And it won’t be easy. These are the hardest fights you’ll ever have. You should go out cold turkey, but it took me three attempts before I actually managed.
You’re not alone out there! There are great men on Twitter and everywhere else that can help you achieve that.
My pinned thread on my Twitter profile is actually a guide on HOW to quit porn. So if you want to quit, go there:
